If so, then it may be possible that your posture needs some work.
Consider the muscular system as an orchestra, that creates movement, if some of the instruments are not tuned then the effect becomes widespread throughout the performance. It's fair to say that not many of us have an ideal postural alignment, how ever when we consider how many of us have ongoing problems that are only temporary relieved by treatment then we must take a more serious look at the overall picture.
Postural analysis is a method used by a massage therapist to identify and measure postural changes. A postural shift could be the result of an injury, overuse of a body area, or adopting a certain position for a prolonged period of time. When this occurs then the body's ability to return to a normal balance may be impaired and can lead to chronic pain disorders.
Some of the conditions that can be helped through Postural Analysis are:
What is involved?
A free 15 minute assessment by our qualified massage therapists looking at postural measurements, muscle length testing and tissue palpation.
What clothing do I need to wear?
Cycle pants (or similar) with a bra top.
What happens after the assessment?
Our trained massage therapists will suggest a programme, if need be, that balances the musclo-skeletal system through clinical massage/stretching techniques, and home exercises comprising stretching & strengthening programme.
